Float Glass Production Processing

Raw material storage

Reasonable storage for material (Approx. 2 month)

Productive storeroom

Storeroom for 1-5 days consumption

Batch: weighing, mixing with cullet

High accuracy weighing system. Various materials mixed with some cullet

Feeder

Feed qualified material into furnace, start to heat.

highest heating temperature is 1600 ℃

Combustion

Options for fuel: Heavy oil, natural gas, coal gas.

Provide furnace with heat to melt glass .

Melting

Melt the material into eligible glass liquid.

Beat up

Beat up and clarify to glass liquid.

Flow into tin bath

Glass liquid flows into tin bath through canal.

Protective gas

H2and N2 are used in tin bath to avoid chemical

reaction between high temperature tin and oxygen.

Molding

Pulling the glass liquid to ribbon with equipments

such as top roller, electric heating element and so

on in the tin bath.

Annealing

Eliminate heat stress in molding. 600 ℃ to 70 ℃.

Testing

Test glass ribbon, classification.

 

Cutting

Cut eligible ribbon into adequate size.

Cold end

Cutting, stacking glass

Packing

Take glass sheet off from production line with

machine or manual, packing into crate or case.
